December 16th, Our Swede/Sweet Friends

A few days ago we met 2 Swedish chicas at the pool. They liked me so much they invited me over for dinner. (I brought my family too so they woudn’t feel left out.) The Andersson family consist of a Mommy (Katarina) a Daddy (Per) 2 girls (Klara and Blenda) and a little boy (Nils). They are all real cool and nice. The oldest girl is 13 like me and she is pretty awesome. She taught me a whole bunch of useful words like “Strunpor” which means socks. I can also say “watch out for that cheese” which is…. I don’t know how to spell it, but you pronounce it “ce oop far` then esta” I think. Oh yah, and pig is “Gris.”

Hey Estebs!
So glad to hear from you on your South Pacific adventures. We were in Hawaii when I got your e-mail. We too had some pretty bad rains, high winds and thunderstorm activity one day on the islands around the 11th. We left our computer plugged in during it and it wrecked our hard drive. Hopefully I can retrieve the photos I had downloaded on it.
We arrived home late last night to icy, snow packed roads and now to more snow today. The kids aren't missing that much school after all. I miss the tropical weather already and will have to live vicariously through you now. Enjoy the warmth of the sun and the fragrant air. I will look forward to hearing of your daily adventures. Take care,

Teresa

I am having a blast enjoying your adventure through reading your blog. Thanks for the blessing of sharing your lives with us (though you are far away). We miss not seeing you daily.

Lisa, I loved your blog from the 15th. And, I thank God for the special moments of friendship He has reserved for you during your travels.

What fun to have found these connections for your heart!! Just as we prayed you would!! I am so happy for you all...what a beautiful family to find for all of you that you will be running in to all over. Phoenix looked at the pictures and said "how unfair! they are in the sun and we are in the..."and then he looked outside at the beautfiful snow and said, "oh yeah, but THEY don't have snow!" and FINALLY we do! No school yesterday (no snow day) and today (a real snow day!) we will send you some pictures so you don't miss anything at all in your tropical wonderland. We miss you and pray for you all daily. THANKS for the updates of your family adventure. Dann says he wants to see a photo of Curt at some point though. Just to be sure he is getting some sun too...love you all!
